A private funeral service for Golden Eagle Emeritus CAPT James A. “Jim” LOVELL Jr., USN (Ret), will be held at the United States Naval Academy Chapel, 121 Blake Road in Annapolis, MD, (on the grounds of the Naval Academy) at 10:30 a.m. on 16 October 2025. Immediately after the religious service the procession will move to the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery for Full Military Honors and graveside service. CAPT LOVELL will be buried with his Wife, Marilyn, who died in August 2023 and is buried in section 3 of the of the USNA Cemetery. They had been married for 71 years before her death. Northeast Flight members and Golden Eagle Astronauts from all flights will serve as honorary pallbearers.
