Passing of Golden Eagle Spouse Sally Bowman
 

Gentlemen,
 
It is my very sad duty to report the passing of Sally Bowman, beloved wife of Golden Eagle VADM Mike BOWMAN, USN (Ret), in Medford, Oregon, on 22 August 2026.
 
Sally Porter Bowman, aged 82, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away peacefully after a long illness.
 
Sally’s father was an Army pilot, and they moved throughout her childhood. Sally graduated from high school in Alexandria, Virginia, during one of her father’s Pentagon tours. She then attended University of California, Berkeley majoring French and minoring German. She met and married Ensign Mike BOWMAN in Livingston, Alabama, on 23 June 1966 after Mike completed flight training.
 
As a Navy wife she held down the home front while Mike was deployed serving our nation. She was a kind and dedicated Navy mom and endured 13 deployments. Sally and Mike had two children, Ashley & Geoff.
 
Sally is survived by her husband VADM Mike BOWMAN, her son Geoff, his wife Clare and their two children Rebecca and Brady as well as her daughter Ashley and her husband Bryant, and their three children Taylor, Porter and Michael.
